Dr. John Apea is a distinguished business executive and strategic leader serving as Group Head of West Africa at eTranzact Global and Chief Executive Officer of eTranzact Ghana. He provides executive leadership for the Group’s regional growth, business operations, strategic partnerships and market expansion across West Africa, advancing its mission to strengthen financial connectivity, digital payments and economic integration. With extensive international experience spanning financial services, technology, corporate strategy, government relations and diplomacy, Dr. Apea brings a unique combination of commercial expertise, institutional leadership and cross-border engagement to the Group’s operations.

Prior to his leadership at eTranzact, Dr. Apea served as Senior Strategist at SCL Group and Cambridge Analytica and as Africa Regional Director for the Royal Commonwealth office, where he oversaw engagements across 19 African countries, collaborating with British High Commissions to advance Commonwealth initiatives, diplomatic relations and international business opportunities. He holds a Doctorate in Business and Leadership from the European International University, Paris, alongside graduate and postgraduate qualifications from the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and York in the United Kingdom. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and a Member of the Institute of Directors (UK), Dr. Apea combines global institutional experience with strategic business leadership to drive eTranzact Global’s continued expansion, strengthen regional partnerships and advance financial innovation across West Africa.
