Oladapo Bolarinwa

Group Head, Technology

Oladapo Bolarinwa is an accomplished technology executive and engineering leader serving as Group Head of Technology at eTranzact Global, where he provides strategic leadership for the Group’s technology architecture, engineering innovation, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure across its African and international operations. He is responsible for advancing the Group’s technology strategy, modernising enterprise payment infrastructure and developing scalable, secure and interoperable financial platforms connecting banks, mobile money operators, businesses and consumers. He also serves as Chief Technology Officer of eTranzact Ghana, where he has led the development of XCEL Ghana, modern payment gateways, cross-border payment capabilities and critical banking infrastructure. His leadership has contributed to the achievement of ISO 27001:2022 certification and sustained PCI DSS compliance.

With extensive experience spanning multinational financial technology operations, enterprise software engineering and digital transformation, Oladapo previously served as Engineering Lead at eTranzact Global, directing the development of the XCEL financial technology platform across the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, and Cameroon. He has also led major national technology initiatives, including biometric SIM registration infrastructure in Ghana, and previously worked at Microsoft, contributing to AI-powered capabilities and accessibility technologies within the Windows operating system. Beyond eTranzact, he is Co-Founder and Technical Advisor of Awari and Board Member of Invitte Technologies. He holds a B.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, a MicroMasters in Internet of Things from Curtin University, and executive education in Business Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His leadership is focused on building resilient, world-class financial technology infrastructure that enables eTranzact Global’s continued innovation, operational excellence and international expansion.
